“BOUND FOR BROADWAY,” PREMIER SINGERS’ SHOWCASE
Talent is now wanted for the upcoming “Bound for Broadway,” a popular industry-invited showcase now in its eighth year. Featured soloists, aged 16 and older, are wanted to join the show. Rehearsals will take place in New York City on dates TBD. Performers will be required to sell tickets to the show and pay an accompanist fee. Casting is underway for “Carousel,” a short film about a young family grappling with innocence. Talent, aged 8–42, is wanted to play the mother, father, and child in the film. Atlanta Lyric Theatre is now casting Equity actors and singers for its upcoming production of “The Wedding Singer.” Talent, aged 18–80, is wanted for several roles in the show, including the lead role of Julia. There will be an Equity Principal Audition on Sept. 7 in Marietta, Georgia. Callbacks will be held on Sept. 15, followed by rehearsals starting Jan. 14, 2019, and a show run from Feb. 8–24. “Ditch Girl,” a short film about a homicide detective who investigates the murder of a woman found in a ditch, is casting multiple supporting roles. Talent, aged 18–65, is wanted to play Mia, a fun-loving make-up artist, Soto, the head of the homicide department, and more.
