Now Casting: Sylvester Stallone’s ‘Escape Plan 3’ Needs Background Actors

Make an escape from whatever you’re doing to check out today’s casting roundup! “Escape Plan 3,” starring Sylvester Stallone and Dave Bautista, is currently seeking male talent to portray guards and prisoners in the film. There are also roles available on the upcoming NBC series “Rise,” run-through contestants in a Fox singing show, and the lead role in a short film! 

Casting is underway for the upcoming feature film “Escape Plan 3,” starring Sylvester Stallone and Dave Bautista. Male talent, aged 18 and older, are sought to portray guards and prisoners in background roles. The production shoots in Mansfield, Ohio. Some pay will be provided. Apply here! 

Background casting is underway for NBC’s “Rise,” an upcoming series following a working class high school drama department and its students as it comes alive under a passionate teacher “whose dedication to the program galvanizes the entire town.” Union and nonunion talent, aged 18–26, are needed to portray high schoolers in the production. There are also roles available for experienced male and female talent, aged 18–26, to portray high school football players and cheerleaders. “Rise” will shoot in the NYC area, dates TBD. Pay is SAG-AFTRA scale for union members and $121 per 10 hours of work for nonunion actors. Apply here! 

Chimera Films is casting a lead role for “Ghost Girl,” a short sci-fi comedy about a girl “who, while going through withdrawals from a relationship that ended, discovers fantastic abilities which enable her to enter the astral realm.” A female actor, aged 18–35, is needed for the lead role of Charlie Nightshade. “Ghost Girl” shoots December 2017 in L.A. Pay is $100 per day, with meals and travel provided. Apply here! 

A new Fox singing show is currently seeking talent to be run-through/rehearsal contestants. Male and female talent singers, 18–65, of all levels with “dynamic, fun, big personalities” are needed for the role. This is only for the paid run-through, not an opportunity to be an actual contestant on the show. Talent will work Oct. 6, Oct. 26, and Nov. 28 over one or two run-throughs in Los Angeles. Pay is $100 per day. Apply here!
