The world may be small, after all, but the opportunities in today's casting notices are huge. Climb aboard the Disney Cruise Line as a dancer and get to play the characters you used to pretend to be as a kid (or maybe still as an adult). There are also several supporting roles available in a new art house film, plus identical twin roles in an upcoming music video.
DISNEY CRUISE LINE, DANCERS
Walt Disney Parks Talent Casting is looking for versatile, well-trained dancers to bring Disney characters to life in full-scale musical theater shows aboard the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder cruise ships. Male and female dancers aged 18–29 are needed. All dancers must be trained in ballet and jazz. Some roles require “strong vocal ability… strong tumbling passes, or a great male physique. There is an open casting call June 23 in NYC. The nine-month contract starts in September and offers competitive pay, travel, room and board, guest sailing privileges, contract completion bonus, and an additional benefits package.
“MALADY”
Dark Current Films, LLC is casting several supporting roles for “Malady,” its upcoming “art house teen creature feature from a bygone era.” Male and female talent aged 18–20 are sought for seven roles in the film. There is also a supporting role available for a male actor ages 35–40. The production shoots mid-August in Upstate New York. Pay is $100 per day, plus meals and travel provided.
“DIDDILIN DIDDILIN”
Identical twin sisters are needed in “Diddilin Diddilin,” a video from Of Bones || Hollye Bynum. Two female actors aged 18–26 will play in supporting roles as sisters who “summon divine and terrible powers from within themselves to thwart the attack of a male sexual predator and patriarchy as a whole.” The production rehearses June 19 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in Brooklyn, New York, and shoots June 30 and July 1 in Connecticut. Pay is $300 with transportation and meals provided.
