Today’s roundup of casting notices is bursting with opportunities for U.K. actors of all sorts. The casting team behind such films as “Mary Poppins Returns” and “Red Sparrow” seek talent for an upcoming feature; a nonunion production of the Holocaust drama “And Then They Came for Me” is also casting; plus more gigs no actor in their right mind would miss.

PIECE OF CAKE FEATURE FILM
Piece of Cake Casting seeks actors in the U.K. for an upcoming feature film, shooting in late August in London. The casting company has previously cast for “Mary Poppins Returns,” “Red Sparrow,” and more. For this film they seek male and female talent ages 20–35 who are “exceptionally athletic.” Professional pay will be provided.

“AND THEN THEY CAME FOR ME”
Nonunion actors are sought for an upcoming production of the play “And Then They Came for Me,” which will combine “videotaped interviews with Holocaust survivors Eva Schloss and Ed Silverberg, with actors recreating the scenes from their lives during WWII and their involvement with Anne Frank.” Male and female talent ages 15–32 are needed for the run, which will tour October–June 2018 in Bristol, U.K.

AND THE AMAZONS PERFORMANCE HERITAGE WALK
Nonunion actors ages 18 and up are needed for And the Amazons Performance Heritage Walk, a theatrical experience in which audiences experience “both fictional and historical characters from radical poet’s Arun Kolatkar’s poems,” who “pop out” as they walk through the production. Performances will run in July and August in London, and will provide some pay.

MICHAEL CLARK COMPANY 2017 TOUR
Casting is underway for highly skilled and classically trained dancers, male and female ages 18 and up, to join the Michael Clark Company’s 2017 tour. The performances, “marked by a mixture of technical rigor and experimentation, intense and fine-tuned choreography intersecting with elements of punk, Dada, pop and rock,” will run July–December in Barbican, London, and other European venues. Some pay will be provided.
