Los Angeles high school students are about to get a (free) crash course in theater.
The Center Theatre Group is offering three free workshops to young lovers of the stage interested in acting, directing, as well as scenic, lighting, and costume design. Instruction will take place Sept. 28 and Oct. 5 from 6–9 p.m., and Oct. 12 from 4:30–7:30 p.m. at the Music Center Annex in downtown L.A. This will be a hands-on workshop where students will design and examine scenes from “Father Comes Home from the Wars (Parts 1, 2, & 3)” as a group. To sign up, students should email StudentBody@CenterTheatreGroup.org detailing their full name, school, grade, email address, phone number, top two areas of interest, and whether or not parking reimbursement will be required.
