Disney Channel is widening the net to find their next band of Wildcats.

Young actors, singers, and dancers ages 14–17 are invited to submit a video audition for “High School Musical 4” using the free Disney Applause App, available on iOS and Android. A script as well as guidelines for applying will be made available to download April 18 for the audition. The open call runs through May 2.

The app also features audition tips from Disney stars Paris Berelc (“Lab Rats: Elite Force”) and Jacob Bertrand (“Kirby Buckets”).

This is neither a contest nor a guarantee of employment, and there is no fee to submit, according to Disney. A parent or guardian’s permission is required to audition.

The original installment of “High School Musical,” which just celebrated its 10-year anniversary, premiered in 2006 to a record-breaking 7.7 million total viewers in the U.S. The film spawned two sequels and made stars of its young ensemble including Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, and Ashley Tisdale.

“High School Musical” and it’s cast and crew received two Emmy Awards, the Television Critics Association Award, an Artios Award, and a DGA Award.

DGA Award nominee Jeffrey Hornaday (Disney Channel’s “Teen Beach Movie”) is attached to direct and choreograph “High School Musical 4.” Dan Berendsen (creator/executive producer of Freeform’s “Baby Daddy”), and Peter Barsocchini (writer of all three “High School Musical” movies) will script the project.

Visit the Disney Channel for more information on the “High School Musical 4” open call.
