IFP Sets Slate for Project Forum
Additionally, IFP announced the expansion of its strategic relationship with the Sundance Institute and new partnerships with B-Side, a tech company that runs Web sites that handle ticketing and audience response data for more than 250 fests in North America, and the Good Pitch, a forum produced by Channel 4 Britdoc Foundation that brings together socially minded film projects and experts from charities, foundations, brands, government and media.
At the IFP Market, producers, funders, distributors, broadcasters, sales agents and festival programmers are broguht together to preview projects in development that are looking at financing and sales opportunities
All projects are accepted based on artistic merit and participate in one of three sections: Emerging Narrative, for first-time feature directors currently in post seeking representation, completion funding, and festival invitations; No Borders International Co-Production Market, for producers with partial financing seeking additional partners; and Spotlight on Documentaries, for filmmakers in production, post, or with a completed film seeking financing partners, broadcast/distribution, and festival invitations.
Other projects that will be featured in the Project Forum include: "Dying Inside," written and directed by Bruno Merle; "Earth Camp One," a documentary directed by Jennie Livingston; "Fame High," a documentary directed and produced by Scott Hamilton Kennedy; "Hungry in America," a documentary directed by Kristi Jacobson and Lori Silverbush; "Musical Chairs," written and directed by Azza Hassan; "Scoutmaster," written and directed by Todd Rohal; "Sons of Perdition," a documentary directed and produced by Tyler Measom and Jennilyn Merten; and "To Catch a Dollar: Muhammad Yunus Banks on America," a documentary directed and produced by Gayle Ferraro.
