'Smash' Reloads for its Second Season

When it returns for its second season early next year, the growing cast of NBC’s Broadway-themed musical drama "Smash" will include new additions Jesse L. Martin ("Law & Order," "Rent"), Nikki Blonsky ("Hairspray"), Jeremy Jordan ("Newsies The Musical"), Jennifer Hudson ("Dreamgirls"), Daniel Sunjata ("Rescue Me"), and Sean Hayes ("Will & Grace").

Jeff Brolin has been cast as the estranged father of Jeff Winger (Joel McHale) in a Thanksgiving episode of NBC's "Community."

Freddie Highmore ("Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," "Finding Neverland") will star as young killer-to-be Norman Bates opposite Vera Farmiga as his mother in "Bates Motel," A&E's "Psycho" prequel series.

Robert Wagner, Joan Collins, Cyndi Lauper, and Debi Mazar will guest star on the upcoming season of Fran Drescher's TV Land sitcom "Happily Divorced," which begins production Oct. 1.
