Brad Heller, Actor, Acting Teacher, Producer

Brad Heller has been acting and teaching for more than three decades. After receiving his theater degree from the Boston University School of Theatre Arts, he moved to Los Angeles and studied with prolific director Don Richardson, whose technique kept acting simple and enjoyable (hence Don's book "Acting Without Agony"). The experience was life-changing for Brad, who felt compelled to carry on Don's legacy, and he began teaching as well as producing films while continuing to act.

After teaching acting at UCLA for five years, Brad decided to open his own school, the Acting Without Agony Academy, located in Studio City, Calif. He has taught thousands of students, some who have been studying with him for over 15 years. He has worked with TV and film actors such as Masi Oka ("Heroes") and Jeffrey Dean Morgan ("Grey's Anatomy," "Watchmen"), as well as actors who have been on Broadway.

Brad always enjoys teaching new actors with no previous training. His students have booked series-regular, recurring, guest-starring, and co-starring roles on shows such as "Criminal Minds," "Rescue Me," "Heroes," "The Unit," "CSI," "10 Things I Hate About You." He teaches in person and now through webcam on Skype. For more information, visit
