This June, Comic Books Meet Theater

Neither Bono nor air-suspending acrobatics are involved in a new alliance of comic book artistry and dramatic theater performance.

The Brick's Comic Book Theater Festival is a collaboration between comic book creators and theater artists, where anyone who combines the two visually imaginative forms can sign up.

To participate in this cape-meets-chorus festival, running from June 5-25 at the Brick Theater in Brooklyn, submit an application by February 15.

Applicants will develop two projects. One should be staged where superheroes and villains battle for a live audience. The other, an illustrated comic, can be featured online or through old-fashioned means: pen-to-paper.
