Class Details

20 students per class max. All levels. Auditing not permitted. Four 10-week sessions per year. Internships available. Private coaching available. All sessions culminate in an original production (not a showcase) before a live audience.

Santa Monica Playhouse is a professional 99-seat agreement Equity theatre with three performance spaces and attached Diversity-in-Education Conservatory, ongoing for the past 64 years. Founded by Belgian-born director Ted Roter, James Arness and Eric Braeden in 1960, the Conservatory offers training for beginners through professionals, as well as performance opportunities for Family Theatre, Evening Shows and Educational School performances.
