Class Details
Class size dependent on program. SITI Summer Intensive Workshop at Skidmore College: 60 students per class. SITI Conservatory: 20-25 students per class. SITI Suzuki and Viewpoints Workshops and drop-in classes: 20-25 students per class. All levels. Auditing not permitted. Four workshops a year. Limited number of internships and scholarships for returning students.

Acting Technique/Scene Study
Comments:
Uses the Suzuki method. Focuses on restoring wholeness of the human body. A rigorous physical discipline drawn from ballet, traditional Japanese and Greek theater, and martial arts. Training seeks to heighten the actor’s emotional and physical power and commitment to each moment on the stage. Attention is on the lower body and a vocabulary of footwork, sharpening the actor’s breath control and concentration. Also offers Viewpoints, a technique of improvisation based on dance.
