Multi-Emmy award-winning founder and CEO Michael Hirschorn is the former head of programming at VH1, where he doubled ratings and tripled revenue for the network, while also launching a documentary skein that produced dozens of award-winning projects.

Recent and current projects include the documentary “Gringo,” which premiered at Toronto before airing on Showtime, the series “This Week at the Comedy Cellar” for Comedy Central, the scripted series “Money and Violence” with Lionsgate, the investigative documentary “Kill Chain” for HBO, an unscripted series highlighting America’s favorite dangerous pastimes pre-1990s, and a reality series that dives into the colorful sex-positive scene of New York City.

Hirschorn has been a columnist for The Atlantic and a contributor to multiple publications, including the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, and New York Magazine, and is a frequent on-air contributor to The Beat with Ari Melber on MSNBC. He is also a founder of The People Pac, which creates low-cost videos and develops social media distribution strategies for progressive candidates around the country. He is also a founder of GreenlightGo (, a new platform designed to provide sharing economy solutions for video producers.
