Presented by the Shakespeare's Globe Theatre and BAM at the BAM Harvey Theater, 651 Fulton St., Brooklyn, NYC, March 5-17.

The work of the Bard either shimmers with revelation or backslides into the lackluster when given a stripped-down production like that of "Cymbeline" at BAM. While Shakespeare's last play remains his most incontestably illogical work, under Mike Alfreds' hyper-streamlined direction, it ought at minimum to succeed as storytelling.
