Commercial casting real father and daughter
Production outfit Bear Jam are casting a real dad and daughter who live together for an Osprey brand commercial. Dad is male, playing ages 40–55, and any ethnicity. Daughter is female, playing age 16 but ideally 18+, any ethnicity. Roles are non-speaking. You’ll need to be available to shoot on 10 September and be a confident driver with a clean UK licence. Shooting will be based around the Chichester and Bordon area. The project pays £1000 (£500 each), including usage for online only in perpetuity, travel arranged. Promo video casting female presenter
Production company Speeding Films are casting a female actor-presenter for a promo video. The team are seeking a female, playing ages 25–35 and Asian, South Asian, or Middle Eastern. The role includes a walk-and-talk around a location, so previous presenting experience is required, and ideally you will be a performer with a background in comedy, or who can bring a witty, light-hearted manner. The project shoots for one day 8–11 September in London and the role is paid £200. Short comedy film casting male and female leads
Dream Journey Studios are casting for short comedy Chocolate Roulette. Set on Valentine’s Day, the film follows scientist Becca as she’s studying peanut allergies and decides to play a game of roulette with her two colleagues, both of whom are allergic to peanuts. Lead role Becca is female, playing age 25–37, and any ethnicity – an intelligent woman who knows what she wants. Steve is male, playing age 25–39, any ethnicity, and a typical jock. He’s in great shape, smart, and has a temper. Martin is male, playing age 24–37, and any ethnicity. Shy and nerdy, he wears glasses and has a bit of a stutter. The project shoots late September or early October in London and the team are seeking performers based there. Queer film casting in Manchester
Green Carnation Company and Bloody Bandit Productions are casting Queer All About It: Prove It, an ongoing digital project exploring issues that affect the LGBTQ+ community through film, articles, and interviews. The team are creating a new film commission and seeking a female performer for the lead role. The unnamed character is female, playing age 28–40, and Black or Asian. An asylum seeker, she’s come to the UK for asylum after a lifetime of concealing her sexuality. The script is deliberately non-specific as to her country of origin and there’s room for the performer to bring their own interpretation. The team are casting for a performer who can bring joy, warmth, and hope to the role. You’ll need to be based in Manchester and available to film on 26–27 September.
