How was your week? Good – or must do better? If you’re in the latter category, fear not as we have high hopes for the next seven days. Huggy Bear, melted cheese and Space Invaders – what more could you ask for? It’s all here in this week’s London Intermission. Have fun!

Fans Assemble!
The MCM Comic Con Roadshow rolls into town once again to bring joy and cult actors to London’s eager fan boys and girls. This time round you can get up close and personal with Paul Bettany, the cast of Starsky and Hutch, Guardians of the Galaxy’s Dave Bautista and comic book god Frank Miller. (From £17.49)

Culture in the dark
If you’re more a high culture than a popular culture type then Museums at Night might be for you. From 25–27 October, many of the U.K.’s top museums will open their doors after-hours, some hosting special late-night events. Our top pick is Eighties Night at the London Transport Museum including Tarot readings, neon makeup makeovers and a retro arcade. (£15)

Wanna stage career?
Over at the National Theatre on 26 October is a day aimed at young people who want a career in the theatre. It’s bound to be interesting, even if your aspirations lie on stage rather than behind the scenes. If you’re under 21, this is a whole day of workshops and tours led by leading “industry professionals.” (£5)

Rooftop Autumn
Who says rooftops are just for the summer? Yes, it’s getting colder – but that just means snuggling up under a blanket and gently sipping a warm, spiced cocktail. If that sounds like your kind of thing then you’re in luck: Wapping’s Skylight is in the midst of its very autumnal HarvestFest. So, jumpers – check, warm stringy cheese – check, outdoor heaters – check, and you – check! (Free)

Lighting up London
On Sunday, Diwali – the Hindu Festival of lights – hits Trafalgar Sqaure. If you like lights, drama and music – and let’s face it, if you’re a performer, who doesn’t? – then this may be for you. Add in the joy of Indian food and people who really want to party and it’s all sounding rather fun. (Free)
