You’ll need to be able to grow a full beard in three days – and to have good hands, too, as they’ll also feature. Male Two is 30–45, any ethnicity, and also with the above qualities. Casting coordinator Nicole McCarthy is seeking a male actor with a native or genuine-sounding American accent for a spoof commercial. Tony is male, 35–65 and any ethnicity. A stereotypical 1980s infomercial host, he’s jolly, “loves products,” and is ideally a larger man with a big smile. The project shoots 14 January in the Midlands and will be shown across social media channels. Pay is £150 plus expenses of up to £50. The team are seeking someone based in or near Birmingham. Student short Better Days for Poetry follows a naïve and desperate teenager out to win a poetry competition to impress those around him. Lead role Ellery is male, 14–19, and any ethnicity. With a “childish quality,” he’s impressionable, anxious, eccentric, and obsessed with winning the competition. Lilly Beckett is female, 14–20, white, and with a great sense of humour. Mrs Beckett is female, 38–58, and white. Assertive and charming, she has a passion for writing. The film rehearses in late February and early March and shoots 26–30 March at Arts University Bournemouth. Roles are paid £90 per day plus travel and food expenses. Feature film Bloody Society is a casting a supporting role ahead of shooting next year. Dr Bryce is male, 26–40, and white. With a “smart doctor” look, natural hair and no visible tattoos or piercings, he’s corrupt and secretly undertaking twisted medical procedures for a group of elites. The film shoots this February in London and roles are paid £70 per day, plus an IMDb credit. COVID testing will be conducted for all cast and crew during production.
