What a week we have in store for you! Not only is the ultimate British theatrical event—a royal wedding!—upon us, but we’ve also got a sporting extravaganza and London’s first-ever pizza run. You want drama? We’ve got drama...and pizza.

Love is in the royal air.
If you’re not one of the 2,640 people on Harry and Meghan’s invite list, fear not; there are plenty of alternative events if a day trip to Windsor isn’t in your plans. You can watch the regal nuptials while having High Tea at Fortnum & Masons, watch it East London-style accompanied by drag queens and bubbles, or even dance the day away at the Southbank’s celebratory Tea Dance. (Prices vary)

Get out, out to explore Macbeth.
Overblown nuptials aren’t everybody’s thing. If you find yourself less than enthralled with the Windsor happenings, head to the National Theatre on May 19 where they’re hosting an all all-day series of talks, discussions, and demonstrations on ‘Macbeth’. Forget the wedding and focus this unique chance to get to grips with a key Shakespearean text. (Tickets: £55)

Experience a Donmar workshop.
Over at the Donmar Warehouse, they’re running another of their acclaimed practical workshops. On May 16, they’re concentrating on their current production, ‘Way of the World’, promising ‘a range of practical, participatory exercises, games and discussions’ where practitioners will lead you through rehearsal room techniques. Tickets go quickly, so hop to it. (Tickets: £12.50)

Learn from the best.
If you can, try to catch a screening of the brilliant new film, ‘Nothing Like a Dame’. Four top-flight theatrical dames—Judi Dench, Maggie Smith, Joan Plowright, Eileen Atkins—get together to reminisce and gossip. Amazing advice and life lessons for all aspiring actors from the very best in the business. What’s not to love? (Ticket prices vary)

Get a pizza the action.
Not universally loved? Exercise. Definitely universally loved? Pizza. Combine the two and you have the first-ever London Pizza Run on May 20. Yes, you have to run but the reward is pizza. Hard work pays off. (£20.00)
