“Spun”
“Spun,” the “exhilarating” debut play from writer Rabiah Hussain, premieres at the Arcola Theatre in East London this summer. Following best friends Safa and Aisha as they return home to London in the aftermath of a brutal terrorist attack, the play explores friendship, identity, and how far their relationship can be pushed.
Directed by Arcola producer Richard Speir, the team is looking for female actors, aged 18–25, for supporting roles. You’ll need to be visibly British-Pakistani and able to play “richly drawn working class characters.” The team welcomes those with movement or dance experience but this is not essential.
Rehearsals run from June 4–22 and the performance runs from June 27–July 28. The role pays U.K. Theater Equity Rates under MRSL 3.
