London Casting: Diverse Cast Needed for Short Film Exploring Racism

Hello and welcome to one of our shoutouts for projects casting around the UK. As always there’s a mix of opportunities for all ages, abilities, and locations but do remember to check if you fit the bill before applying. Shino

Short film Shino takes a look at the suffering caused by racism as it follows a character confronting different examples of violence against minorities.

Led by photographer and director Zakariya Gandawolf, the team are hoping to submit the film to major festivals. Please note: this is an unpaid project and some roles may include nudity, portrayals of violence and death.

Leading role Shino is for a male or female actor of black African ethnicity aged 25–35.

The team are also casting for a range of black roles, including: Young Man, for a talent aged 20–30; and two Female Slaves, for talents aged 20–30.

In addition, eight white males or females aged 20–50 are needed in the role of Monsters.

Shino shoots in London, with filming TBD. Meals are provided.
