Hello and welcome to one of our shoutouts for projects casting around the U.K. As always there’s a mix of opportunities for all ages, abilities, and locations but do remember to check if you fit the bill before applying. Although we make every attempt to verify castings before we hit publish, please ensure that you do your own research before firing off those headshots and Backstage links.

“Set”

The inspired concept of short film “Set” takes place in a world where TVs are populated by little people who play all the characters but are fed up with being typecast. The story follows a pair of friends who always play the hero and the villain and they decide it’s time to swap roles.

The team is casting for a male role, Tyronne. Male talent, aged 16–35, is wanted. He is cast as the sporting hero and is boisterous and hot-tempered. He’s unwilling to swap roles for anyone. The character is American and accents are preferred but not essential.

You’ll need availability on Sept. 12 and 13 in London. Please note, the role is unpaid but the production can provide food, drink, and travel within London.

Think you can play a Tyronne? Check out the script excerpt and self tape instructions on the casting notice and apply now.
