Hello and welcome to one of our shoutouts for projects casting around the U.K. As always there’s a mix of opportunities for all ages, abilities, and locations but do remember to check if you fit the bill before applying. Although we make every attempt to verify castings before we hit publish, please ensure that you do your own research before firing off those headshots and Backstage links.
Major Feature Film
Des Hamilton, the casting director behind “This is England”, “Gunpowder,” and a regular collaborator with directors such as Lars von Trier, Andrea Arnold, and Nicolas Winding Refn who has found numerous successful actors off the street including Thomas Turgoose and Kathleen McDermott is now casting a major feature film.
There’s no experience necessary for this gig. In fact, Hamilton specialises in working with directors who want a mix of professional and untrained actors. He’s searching for a leading male, aged 10–14. The character is a unique-looking caucasian lad with a large frame who is confident and articulate.
The team is looking for actors in London for rehearsals and shoots later this year. It’s professional pay but specific rates are to be discussed on application. If this job sounds perfect for you or someone you represent then hit apply here by Jan 20! If you’re under 16 then your application must be managed by a parent or guardian.
