Hello and welcome to one of our shoutouts for projects casting around the U.K. As always there’s a mix of opportunities for all ages, abilities, and locations but do remember to check if you fit the bill before applying. Although we make every attempt to verify castings before we hit publish, please ensure that you do your own research before firing off those headshots and Backstage links.
“Denning Court” is a legal drama focussing on the lives of law students and young lawyers. The team is creating a pilot and says there’s a “very good prospect” of a commission for an online series.
They’re looking to cast four lead roles for talent, aged 20–25, that is all based in London.
Female characters Tammy and Ayesha couldn’t be more different. Tammy is a high-strung career girl who is organised to a fault. She’s white and privately educated; the team is looking for an RP accent. Ayesha is South Asian and requires a convincing natural Northern accent. She’s strong but gentle.
Male characters Rupert and Wilson are opposites, too. Rupert is Tammy’s younger brother, an “unfocused” law student who lives for the moment. He’s part of the LGBT community and has a wicked sense of humour. Fellow student, Wilson, is a BAME law student with confidence issues and a troubled past. Nothing comes easily to him.
The pilot shoots later this month in Shepherds Bush and is paid the National Minimum Wage. Head over to the casting notice for more information and to apply now.
