“Adolescence”

Antwerp-based fashion photographer and director Zeb Daemen is casting a short film set in the 1950s that follows two characters coming to terms with their sexuality. Described as a “coming of age and coming out” story, “Adolescence” is shooting at the end of September. The team is casting their male leads Simon and James.

James is for a white male actor, aged 18–26. He’s 18 years old, is the only child of a good family, and is passionate about photography. He’s shy and is living with the secret of being gay, unknown even to his best friend Simon.

Best friend Simon is also for white male talent, aged 18–28. A James Dean lookalike with a heart of gold, he’s changing his clothes on the beach when James captures him with his camera. Please note that this role requires nudity.

Pay is TBD, as are exact shooting dates.
