Road Casting’s Coralie Rose is seeking a host of performers for a playful, surreal, and anarchic advert from a well-known drinks brand. Spike is any gender, any ethnicity, 18–24, and a performer who can hula hoop to a high level (submissions welcome from dancers or circus artists). Guy in Window is male, 19–25, and any ethnicity though ideally Black (the team have referenced Paper Boi from the series Atlanta for this role). Removal Man is male, “rough and ready,” 30–40, and British or Eastern European heritage. Nail Technician and Mum are female, playing ages 18+, and any ethnicity – and should be an actual mother and daughter. Guy with Dog in Pram is male or female, playing age 50–70, and any ethnicity. Neighbour is female, 40–60, and non-white. The project runs from mid-February for fittings, with alternate shoot dates in March. Spike is paid £1,000 plus a £10,000 buyout. Feature film Blood Society is seeking a female actor to play a supporting role. Carrie is female, 20–32, and white. This scene will be coordinated by a professional intimacy coordinator alongside the director with a skeleton crew. Student film casting two male roles
Students at Falmouth University are shooting a short LGBTQ film, following a closeted artist who needs to enter a painting in order to rescue his muse from being stuck inside. Lead role Rian is male, 20–30, and Black. Quiet and reserved, and featured in every scene, he communicates through his art. Fresco is male, 20–30, and Black, mixed-race, or ethnically ambiguous. The project rehearses over Zoom with shoots in late February and early March in Falmouth, Cornwall.
