This week is all about inspiration, something everyone needs from time to time. Luckily, London has it in droves! Here’s our pick of the inspiring bunch.

Gabourey Sidibe’s memoir is sure to delight.
She’s been nominated for an Oscar, stars in one of the most talked about TV shows in years, and is a truly magnificent star. Actress Gabourey Sidibe, star of ‘Precious’ and ‘Empire’, is in London to chat about her new tell-all memoir, ‘This Is Just My Face: Try Not to Stare’. She’ll be Q&A-ing on June 7 at the Genesis Cinema, chatting all about Hollywood behind the glamour. Not to be missed! (Tickets: £16)

It’s story slam time!
Want to be inspired by the spoken word inside London’s newest theatre? Get yourself down to the London Moth GrandSLAM at the Bridge Theatre on June 17. Brilliant, interesting people telling stories...sounds familiar, right? One for the creatives amongst you, so, all of you. (Tickets £17.50)

Troop the colour with Her Majesty.
If you think the Royal Wedding was a good show, you haven’t seen anything yet. On June 9, Trooping the Colour is back, when Her Majesty and all the Royals put on their finery and watch the best of the British military parading in front of them. If you’re into theatricality, performance, and men in uniform, this is for you. (Free)

Bike in the buff.
Creatively, we’re all inspired by different things. Maybe your thing will be hundreds of people cycling naked through the greatest city in the world. Only one way to find out, eh? June 9 is World Naked Bike Ride Day—just be careful of the chain. (Free)
