Female Narrator for a True-Crime Audiobook
Producer Lisa Hollinshead is seeking a female narrator for an audiobook of an inspirational true-crime story. The Narrator has a mature voice, playing ages 60–70, and the character is from Bootle, with a soft Liverpudlian accent. Ideally, you will be someone with experience, especially in criminal documentary – softly spoken, with a natural tone and pace. The piece records remotely or in-studio, either in London or Somerset. Brand promo casting two male leads
An online promo for multinational technology company Huawei is casting for two leading male roles. Both roles are non-speaking but the team are seeking performers with previous experience to play a professional chef and a man sleeping rough who form a connection despite the different routes their lives have taken. Professional Chef is male, playing age 20–35 and Black. Young Man is male, playing age 20–35 and white – someone sleeping rough on the street. The project shoots for two to three days between 16–23 November in London and roles are paid £400–£450 per day. The team are seeking performers based in London. Student film casting in Midlands
Students from Staffordshire University are creating Solus, a futuristic short film and casting lead and supporting roles. The cyberpunk film follows a married couple’s strained relationship. Leading role Kahn Casey is male, playing age 25–45, and any ethnicity – he’s a tough, alcoholic detective who abuses his wife. Erin Casey is female, playing age 25–45, and any ethnicity. Kahn’s wife, she’s also the anchor in his life. Their daughter Sarah Casey is female, playing ages 9–13, and any ethnicity. Sarah loves her father but wants him to be around more. The piece shoots 1–7 February 2021 and roles are paid £70 per day with travel plus expenses. The team are seeking performers based in and around the Stoke-on-Trent area. Student film casting in London
A team at Ravensbourne University are casting short film Sundowning. Exploring grief, family, and dementia, the piece follows lead character Joe, who must collect his grandfather before his mother’s funeral starts. Joe is male, playing age 19–25, and white. Uncertain what to do with his life, he’s suffering from depression which has worsened after losing his mother. Harold is male, playing age 60–75, and white. Joe’s grandfather, he’s suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, which makes his day-to-day life difficult. Despite his condition, he’s an optimist with a bubbly personality. Mark is male, playing age 24–30, and white. Joe’s older brother, he’s controlling and impatient but acts out of care for others. Sundowning shoots in March 2021 and roles are paid £8.50 per hour (please note: this is subject to change). Travel expenses will be reimbursed and food will be covered.
