Students from MetFilm are casting for a short sci-fi crime caper and seeking actors based in London for lead and supporting roles. Tolu is female, playing age 25–35, and Black African descent. A desperate escapee from Earth, she’s level-headed but struggles to hide her grief and anxiety. Carter is male, playing age 30–40, and mixed race. A politician on Earth, he’s handsome, charming, and ruthless. Chohan is male, playing age 40–60, and any ethnicity. He’s wise, kind-eyed but quick to temper. Plays exploring African-Caribbeans in Britain
A series of plays exploring the contribution of African-Caribbeans to Britain over the past 500 years is casting ahead of its first instalment. The team are seeking a London-based male African-Caribbean actor to perform the roles of Samuel Mudian (playing age 50+) and John (playing age 70+). The characters are courageous, proud and ambitious men with a deep sense of their identity. John has a strong Jamaican accent while Samuel's accent is British.
