Hello and welcome to one of our shoutouts for projects casting around the U.K. As always there’s a mix of opportunities for all ages, abilities, and locations but do remember to check if you fit the bill before applying. Although we make every attempt to verify castings before we hit publish, please ensure that you do your own research before firing off those headshots and Backstage links.

“The Tempest”

Insane Root is looking for a confident actor-singer to complete their company this winter. The Bristol-based theatre company, specialising in energetic and small-scale productions, is reimagining Shakespeare’s “The Tempest” with a company of four actor-singers. Told through Prospero’s eyes, this production needs a female actor-singer, any age, ethnicity and build.

You’ll need experience of singing close harmony acapella and learning by ear, physical theatre or clowning experience is also a plus. Any vocal ranges will be considered.

The production rehearses and is performed in a site-specific venue in Bristol from 20 Nov. to the 24 of Dec. It’s paid £425 per week for rehearsals and performances but the company regrettably cannot offer any expenses or accommodation.

Send your CV and Backstage link with the subject ‘FAO Hannah Drake’ to [email protected] by 6 Oct. You can find out more about the company here.
