Hello and welcome to one of our shoutouts for projects casting around the U.K. As always there’s a mix of opportunities for all ages, abilities, and locations but do remember to check if you fit the bill before applying. Although we make every attempt to verify castings before we hit publish, please ensure that you do your own research before firing off those headshots and Backstage links.

“Bone” is a short film with a different point of view. The main character is an abandoned puppy who is offered a home with an unpredictable criminal. Exploited as a drug runner, the pooch is at the mercy of The Baron, an intimidating villain.

The team is looking for their Baron, casting for men, aged 30–65, who are able to perform with deep, villainous voices, ideally in a range of accents. The Baron is violent and prone to outbursts but has a pitiable character. He’s complex and dark. The character’s face won’t be seen for the majority of the film, so voice is everything.

Rehearsals are ongoing, and ideally, you’ll have availability over the next two months and be able to travel to Aylesbury. The production will cover travel costs and the producer is hoping to pay for shooting days.
