Infamous Six
English-language Chinese film Infamous Six is described by the casting director as “Mean Girls with a dark twist.” Shooting in China towards the end of the year, the production is casting a wide range of roles for performers of various backgrounds.
Here are just a few of the breakdowns:
Leading role Cola is for a female actor aged 20–30. With a Chinese mother and white father, she’s got stunning looks that come in handy when she lies and cheats to get whatever she wants.
Missy Williams is for a female actor aged 25–30. White with blonde hair, she's the one that could be an evil genius.
Amanda Cruz is for a female actor aged 25–35 of Latin heritage. A garlanded champion of boxing and mixed martial arts, she’s never quite fitted in. This role requires an athletic performer, ideally with experience in martial arts.
JoJo Han is for a female actor aged 18–30 of Asian heritage. Nicknamed “Baby Girl,” she’s a Korean girl-next-door type.
Mei Wong is for a female actor aged 18–30, an Asian “It Girl.”
Police Chief Thompson is for a white male actor aged 55–65. He’s Cola’s father, a bumbling police chief burdened with an even worse police force. Nevertheless, Thompson is a man of honour.
Infamous Six rehearses in mid-November, shooting from 26 November until 15 December in China. Pay is TBD.
