Hey, London! Stay in the loop and be sure to check back every week for projects currently in production in the place you call home. Here’s the 411 on what’s filming big and small in your city.
Years & Years
Prior to receiving her damehood at Buckingham Place on Nov. 7, Emma Thompson has been up in Manchester filming the new BBC and HBO series Years & Years. Just announced last week, Thompson has joined the series as Vivienne Rook, a charismatic celebrity-turned-politician, opposite Rory Kinnear, Russell Tovey, T’Nia Miller, and more. The drama comes from writer-showrunner Russell T Davis, best known for his work on the Doctor Who revival. This new series will follow a British family over 15 years through “political instability, technological advances and a changing economy.” The casting director for the series is Andy Pryor, who has been making waves as the CD of Doctor Who and was the man behind the (excellent) decision to cast Jodie Whittaker in the lead role. You can read about how he finds new talent here!
