“Jolt”
London-based Kate Beckinsale fans will surely be in for a shock if they walk onto the set of the upcoming “Jolt,” currently filming in the city. Directed by Tanya Wexler, “Jolt” stars Beckinsale as a bouncer with a “slightly murderous anger-management problem that she controls with the help of an electrode-lined vest she uses to shock herself back to normalcy whenever she gets homicidal.” After the man she’s in love with is murdered, she goes on a revenge-fueled rampage to find the killer as the cops pursue her as their chief suspect. The film also features Jai Courtney, Laverne Cox, Bobby Cannavale, and Stanley Tucci. “Jolt” is expected to be released at some point next year. Rumyana Popova is a casting assistant on the project, though no further casting team has been publicly announced.
