Pilot season creeps in this petty pace from day to day. A few more casting directors landed projects at the end of last week.

David Rapaport will handle casting for the CW's new comic-book adaptation, "Arrow." The titular arrow is the Green Arrow, who was just your average trust fund kid until a boating accident stranded him on an uninhabited island, causing him to re-evaluate his insouciant approach to life while also turning him into a skilled bow hunter. Why the network dropped "green" from the title is unclear, although an exhaustive study of this year's box office receipts reveals that green is the least popular super hero color. This will be Rapaport's second pilot season casting a super-hero project, as he was the CD on NBC's "Wonder Woman" pilot last year. "Arrow" is scheduled to get under way in March.

This next pilot is about a female in law enforcement who is "street smart" and "no-nonsense." CBS' "Trooper" centers on a woman who gets a job as a New York state trooper and finds that the skills she gained being a parent are consistently useful in her new line of work. No start date for this one yet, but it will shoot in New York and be cast by Beth Bowling and Kim Miscia.

Finally, Jason La Padura and Natalie Hart will handle casting duties on the CBS pilot "Golden Boy." The show will center on a young officer who makes a major drug bust, which nets him a promotion to detective, a job he's not ready for.
