“ALADDIN” ON BROADWAY
Disney’s Tony-nominated Best Musical, “Aladdin,” now in its third season on Broadway, seeks union talent to join its production. The musical, helmed by Casey Nicholaw, will hold a chorus call on Oct. 25 at Pearl Studios in New York City.
UNTITLED JUSTIN LONG WEB SERIES
Three leading and three supporting roles are sought for a new web series produced, directed, written by, and starring Justin Long. The project, created for the Ringling College of Art and Design Studio Lab, “explores the realities and contrivances of internet stardom.” Shooting is set for Oct. 22–Nov. 4 in Sarasota, Florida.
“DISGRACED”
Five union actors are sought for an upcoming production of “Disgraced,” the Pulitzer Prize–winning drama depicting “a successful Pakistani-American lawyer who is rapidly moving up the corporate ladder while distancing himself from his cultural roots.” Rehearsals will begin Jan. 3, 2017, with a run slated for Jan. 27–Feb. 12, 2017 in New York City.
“LIFE OF THE PARTY”
“Life of the Party,” an upcoming feature starring Melissa McCarthy and Maya Rudolph, seeks talent for two background roles. The flick, written by McCarthy and Ben Falcone, seeks actors to depict “sorority girls and boyfriends,” as well as parents. Shooting is set for Oct. 11–12 in Covington, Georgia.
“CHURCH”
Actors are sought for four supporting roles in “Church,” a student film. The piece, depicting “a normal day at church for this congregation,” will shoot Nov. 6 in the East Village in New York City.
“THE GEEZE & ME”
Here’s a theatrical opportunity for you West Coast actors! Several nonunion actors are sought for “The Geeze & Me,” an upcoming production billed as “an irreverent, poignant, compassionate, and outspoken original musical.” The piece, helmed by director Nancy Capers, will begin rehearsals Jan. 3, 2017, with opening night slated for March 31, 2017 at the Tenth Avenue Arts Centre in San Diego, California.
UBER WEB COMMERCIAL
Casting is underway for an upcoming web commercial for Uber. Creatives are seeking talent aged 21–35 to depict rideshare passengers, and the paid gig will shoot Oct. 11 in San Francisco, California.
