Get Cast in Disney's ‘A Wrinkle in Time’ and 4 More Feature Films

This week’s casting roundup is all about feature films—potentially starring you! These are five feature film opportunities you don’t want to miss, including Disney’s Ava DuVernay-directed “A Wrinkle in Time” and the dramatic comedy “Rose” starring Cybill Shepherd and James Brolin. “A WRINKLE IN TIME”
Disney’s “A Wrinkle in Time,” starring Reese Witherspoon and the one and only Oprah Winfrey, is casting two young actors for leading roles. The film, based on the 1963 children's book, seeks one male actor, aged 5–9, to play Charles Wallace who is “extremely intelligent and very articulate,” and another male actor, 14–17, to play Calvin, “handsome, athletic, genuinely sweet and caring.” The project is shooting this fall at an undisclosed location.

“ROSE”
Dramatic comedy “Rose,” starring Cybill Shepherd, James Brolin and Pam Grier, is casting background talent. The film seeks a female, aged 50–70, to serve as a stand-in for Shepherd, and a male, also 50–70, to stand-in for Brolin. The feature will begin shooting this October in the Truth or Consequences, New Mexico area.

“DAYS END”
Lead, supporting and background roles are being sought for “Days End,” an upcoming feature about a New Jersey family and their struggles “after being captured by a unknown military force and locked in a concentration camp.” The piece will begin shooting Apr. 30, 2017 in Kansas City, Missouri.

“DARK TILES”
“Dark Tiles,” a supernatural feature following two young couples who decide to play a vintage board game one evening, is casting several lead and supporting roles. From Conjure Films productions, the project is slated to shoot at the end of 2017 in Los Angeles.

“THE STANDARD”
Three leading and four supporting roles are sought for “The Standard,” a drama from Legacy Studio Group, depicting “a successful televangelist who heads a worldwide ministry worth millions.” The paid gig will shoot Jan. 6–Apr. 1, 2017 in Arizona.
