Posey Goes 'Legal,' Pilots Sign More Stars

Parker Posey has been tapped for a multiple-episode arc on ABC's drama "Boston Legal."

In pilot-casting news, Chris Johnson has joined the CW comedy pilot "She Said/He Said," Kathleen Rose Perkins has landed a lead role in CBS' untitled Tom Hertz project, Jonathan Sadowski has been cast in CBS' comedy pilot "My Ex-Life," and Scoot McNairy has been added to the cast of Fox's comedy pilot "More, Patience."

In a three-episode stint on David E. Kelley's "Boston Legal," Posey will play Marlene Stanger, a recent transfer from another firm. Nicknamed "The Squid" after the only animal in popular mythology that can kill a shark, Stanger is a BlackBerry-carrying politico looking to make partner.

20th Century Fox TV produces the series with David E. Kelley Prods.

Posey's upcoming features include "Superman Returns," "The Oh in Ohio" and "Fay Grim."

"She Said/He Said," from CBS Paramount Network TV and Warner Bros. TV, is a romantic comedy told through male and female perspectives and stars Nick Lachey and Lindsay Sloane. Johnson will play the role of Finn.

Johnson, most recently seen on UPN's "South Beach," is repped by APA and manager Lena Roklin.

The untitled Tom Hertz project, from Sony Pictures TV and Happy Madison, follows an engaged couple, a married couple and a happily single guy. Perkins will play the engaged woman.

Perkins, who also will guest star in ABC's comedy pilot "Help Me Help You" in a potential recurring role, is repped by Innovative Artists and Devon Jackson at Trademark Talent.

"My Ex-Life," from 20th TV, revolves around two best friends (Tom Cavanagh, Gillian Vigman) who happen to be a divorced couple sharing custody. Sadowski will play a former college student of the ex-husband who gives him dating tips and serves as a part-time baby sitter for his two young children.

Sadowski, who co-stars in DreamWorks' "She's the Man" and has "This Bill Smith," a script which he co-wrote, in development at Sony Pictures, is repped by Domain and Susan Yoo at Essential Talent Management.

"More, Patience," from Sony TV and Pariah, centers on a neurotic New York psychiatrist (Jennifer Esposito). McNairy is repped by 4Dog Management.

In other pilot news, the episode of UPN's comedy "Girlfriends" that serves as a backdoor pilot for the show's potential spinoff, "The Game," is slated to air April 17.
