What Friday the 13th Means for Actors

Today is Friday the 13th! You’re not superstitious...right?

There are some who say Friday the 13th always brings bad luck.

It’s an old superstition that has to do with the supposedly terrifying number 13...

...and the fact that on Friday the 13th of October 1307, hundreds of the Knights Templar were arrested and burned across Europe. (Yikes.)

Did you know there’s even a phobia for people with an irrational fear of the date? It’s called paraskevidekatriaphobia.

But you’re an actor. You’re not superstitious at all. Right?

Any given day in the life of an actor can be full of bad luck...

...and sometimes, good luck!

So even though you may think twice about heading to an audition or meeting with a potential agent on Friday the 13th...

...it could be that Friday and the number 13 are actually your good luck charms! You never know.

If you’re an artist, have no fear! After all, luck comes down to believing you’re lucky.
