Andrew Rosales knows how to make his way in the industry, taking roles of any size while he’s waiting for his big break.
Stick around for the payoff.
“Patience and being open to everything is key. My first year [of acting], I was able to be in multiple music videos. [Recently,] I was cast in the award-winning movie ‘Babylon’ as supporting background.”
Be open to collaborating off set.
“I usually go about building relationships in the industry by being who I am, which is friendly and approachable. I like to learn about others’ experiences in the field as well as share mine with them. Try to build a work friendship outside of set to create things together, whether it’s a TikTok or even table reads.”
Opportunity knocks only once.
“I currently reside in Los Angeles, and some advice I have to find success in the acting market is to explore outside of your comfort zone and be open to all roles that could open another door for you that others did not care to open.”
Always remain aware and curious.
“One of the biggest lessons I have learned so far on my acting journey is not to assume everyone is your friend and to always be willing to reach out if you have questions or concerns.”
Live your dreams to the fullest.
“I wanted to get involved in acting because I loved seeing movies with my dad as a kid. It always took my mind to that world on the screen, and I always wanted to be a part of that world. Now I can take my dad to see me on the big screen.”
