Gabrielle Union Joins Season 3 of Apple TV’s “Truth Be Told” Series

According to Deadline, Gabrielle Union is officially starring in the upcoming Season 3 of “Truth Be Told.” The Apple TV+ anthology series, based on the novel of the same name by Kathleen Barber, follows Poppy Scoville, played by Octavia Spencer, a podcaster “who risks everything—including her life—to pursue truth and justice.” The upcoming third season will reportedly have Poppy on a new case with Union joining the cast as Eva, “an outspoken high school principal who becomes embroiled in a problematic incident.” Spencer leads the cast that includes Mekhi Phifer, Michael Beach, Tracie Thoms, Ron Cephas Jones, Haneefah Wood, Katherine LaNasa, and others. Union is the latest season co-star in the anthology series, following in the footsteps of Aaron Paul and Lizzy Caplan and Season 1 and Kate Hudson in Season 2. Series creator and executive producer Nichelle D. Tramble was the showrunner for the first two seasons with Maisha Closson taking over for the third season. Season 3 of “Truth Be Told” is due out at some point in 2022. Lowry-Johnson/Goldstein Casting is the casting team.
