“The Girl From Plainville”
“The Girl From Plainville” has found a new place to call home. WTOC in Georgia brought the news that production crews for the Hulu series have now set up on Tybee Island for filming, which will take place on Tybrisa Street, Strand Avenue, the Pier, and a part of the beach. As we’ve previously reported, the crime drama series will star Elle Fanning, Colton Ryan, Chloë Sevigny, Norbert Leo Butz, Cara Buono, and Kai Lennox. The series will follow the true story of a texting suicide case made famous by an Esquire article of the same name and explore the relationship of Michelle Carter (Fanning) with Conrad “Coco” Roy III (Ryan) and the events that led to his death and, later, her controversial conviction of involuntary manslaughter. Both Fanning and Ryan were also spotted filming on Oct. 14 in costume, which included a pair of bunny ears for Fanning. Liz Hannah and Patrick Macmanus will co-write the series and serve as executive producers and co-showrunners. Jodi Angstreich and Laura Rosenthal are the casting directors.
