Kyle Allen Will Play He-Man in Netflix’s Live-Action ‘Masters of the Universe’

We’ve got good news for those who are fans of “Masters of the Universe.” The “West Side Story” star Kyle Allen has officially landed the starring role of He-Man in Netflix’s upcoming “Masters of the Universe” live-action film adaptation. Here’s what we know about this exciting casting announcement. 

Netflix’s “Masters of the Universe” Has Found its Star

By the power of Grayskull, Mattel Studios and Netflix’s He-Man has been found. According to Variety, “West Side Story” actor Kyle Allen has been cast as Adam, a.k.a He-Man, in the upcoming live-action film adaptation of “Masters of the Universe.” The film, which began at Sony Pictures and has since moved to Netflix for development, will be directed and co-written by Aaron and Adam Nee (“Band of Robbers”), who penned the script with David Callaham (“Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings”). The upcoming live-action adaptation pairs nicely with Netflix’s current animated series “Masters of the Universe: Revelation,” which has Chris Wood voicing He-Man and also stars Sarah Michelle Gellar, Lena Headey, Mark Hamill, Tiffany Smith, and more. No further casting for the film has been announced at this time. Mary Vernieu is the casting director.
