The popular filmmaker is reportedly back to work on another Roald Dahl project following his 2009 adaption of the author’s “Fantastic Mr. Fox.” According to several outlets, Anderson has officially signed on to helm an adaptation of “The Wonderful World of Henry Sugar” for Netflix, starring Benedict Cumberbatch. “The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar” Gets an All-Star Cast
Wes Anderson is returning to the world of Roald Dahl with “The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar.” Per Variety, the filmmaker has signed on to direct an adaptation of the short story collection for older children. According to Variety’s sources, Benedict Cumberbatch, Ralph Fiennes, Dev Patel, and Ben Kingsley will star in the Netflix project, with Cumberbatch leading the cast as Henry Sugar. Production is expected to begin in London later this month. A casting director has yet to be made public, but Anderson generally works with Douglas Aibel.
