It may be the final chapter for “Heartstopper,” but Nick and Charlie’s love story is (hopefully) just getting started! Netflix has released the full trailer for “Heartstopper Forever,” the finale film wrapping up the beloved coming-of-age dramedy series starring Kit Connor and Joe Locke. The feature continuation, which sees the reality of their long-distance relationships creep in as Nick prepares to leave for university and Charlie starts finding his way at school, is due on the streamer on July 17, but until then, it’s time for your own love story. “Boyfriends”
Casting is underway for “Boyfriends,” a new film for a major streaming service that follows two high school boys who fall in love before they know what to do with it. Nationwide actors, aged 18–60, are wanted for several roles in the film, including Ed, the co-lead. Filming is scheduled for September and October in Kentucky. Pay is undisclosed by the production, but roles are paid, and production will also cover round-trip travel and accommodations.

“Peanut Butter”
Join the cast of “Peanut Butter,” a coming-of-age feature film following 14-year-old Jamie as he spends a summer in New Orleans exploring the tender, confusing stirrings of first love and identity with his neighborhood friends. Young actors, aged 13–18, are wanted for lead roles, including the protagonist, Jamie. No prior acting experience is required. Filming will take place in New Orleans and its surrounding areas on Sept. 2–30. Pay is $3,028 for two weeks of work.

“Holy Palmer’s Kiss”
Kendall Cooper Casting is now seeking talent for “Holy Palmer’s Kiss,” a proof-of-concept short film for a coming-of-age drama following two 14-year-old boys navigating identity, friendship, and first love in Maine. Young male talent, aged 12–16, is sought for the two lead roles and a supporting role. Rehearsals are scheduled for Aug. 14, followed by filming on Aug. 15–16 in Lewiston, Maine. Pay is $249 per day for two or three days of work, with travel and mileage reimbursement and/or flights and hotel provided.

“Summer Thing”
Casting continues for “Summer Thing,” a short film following Aurora, who, on her last day in Florida, savors every stolen moment with Amanda, the girl she was never supposed to fall for. Production is seeking a Black-Latina actor, age 18–22, to play the co-starring role of Amanda, and a Latina actor, age 60–75, to play her grandmother. Filming is scheduled for July in Los Angeles. Pay is $250 per day for up to three days of work.

Join the cast of “Waning,” a queer romance arthouse short film following a young painter whose imaginary muse begins to take the shape of someone real. New York City-based talent, aged 18–48, is wanted for several roles in the project, including leads. Filming is scheduled for late July and early August in NYC. Pay is $250 per day for all except background actors, who are unpaid.

“Daughter of Mine” Queer Coming-of-Age Short Film
Casting is underway for “Daughter of Mine,” a short student coming-of-age film following a closeted trans girl who, after an intimate encounter with an older trans woman, finds the strength to confront her Thai immigrant mother to assert her identity. Australia-based Thai actors, aged 18 and older, are sought for the lead roles of Ruby and Pranee. Talent will work on July 30–Aug. 1 in Victoria. Pay is AU$125–$250 with catering, travel compensation, and footage provided.
