New York is the city that never sleeps, and with so many events and activities each week across all five boroughs, it can be hard to know what’s actually worthwhile. Here are the events New York City actors should have on their radars this week.

Become a wine connoisseur with Kyle MacLachlan.
Sure, Kyle MacLachlan is the beloved star of “Twin Peaks” and more, but did you know he is also an accomplished vintner? Well, he is, and he even has his own line red wines and rosés—which he wants to share with you. On Feb. 26, join MacLachlan for a wine tasting, hors d’oeuvres, and conversation at Verve Wine on Hubert Street. Best of all, it’s free. (Free)

Learn how to (actually) pitch your project.
Whatever the medium, pitching your project is a delicate artform—and a lot can go wrong when doing so. To help you nail it, attend TAC Signature Series: How to Pitch at the Woodlot in Midtown. The Feb. 27 event will feature a hands-on guide to dos and don’ts from experts who have been there, as well as the opportunity for individual guidance. (Free)

The International Film Festival returns to NYC.
Don’t miss the 10th annual International Film Festival, ongoing through March 1. Held at the Dolby Screening Room, the event will feature filmmakers from around the world, and works ranging from short to feature-length films as well as documentaries. Catch exciting new works and mingle with talent both emerging and established from across the industry. (Tickets start at $15)

The Athena Film Festival is back, too.
Another festival happening this week, the ninth annual Athena Film Festival returns to New York Feb. 28–March 3, again featuring works by and about extraordinary women. Held at Barnard College, the event has previously welcomed guests including Lena Dunham, Billie Jean King, J.J. Abrams, and more, and has in all screened more than 200 pieces of all forms. (Passes start at $25)

Catch new hits of the season before they are.
While they’re still in previews, catch some of the blowing-up shows of this theater season. On Broadway, “Be More Chill” has begun performances at the Lyceum, and “Kiss Me, Kate” is now running at Studio 54. Off-Broadway, MTC’s “The Cake” is running at City Center Stage I, and “Daddy” is in previews at Signature Theatre. (Prices vary)
