Hey, New York actors! Stay in the loop and be sure to check back every week for projects currently in production in the place you call home. Here’s the 411 on what’s filming big and small in your region.

“Let Them All Talk”
Steven Soderbergh has been quiet at work on a new film, one with a cast that’s hard to be quiet about. The comedy feature “Let Them All Talk,” starring Meryl Streep, has been filming on and off in the city in recent months but is currently heading into the holidays filming up in Westchester County this week in Harrison at West Street and Halstead Avenue. The film, which was picked up by HBO Max earlier this year, will reportedly tell the story of an acclaimed author who takes a journey of self-discovery with old friends, as well as her nephew. And the project boasts an all-star casting supporting Streep: Lucas Hedges, Gemma Chan, Candice Bergen, Dianne Wiest, and Saskia Larsen. Soderbergh will direct, edit, and also serve as the cinematographer, with short story writer and 2009 MacArthur Fellow Deborah Eisenberg penning the script. Soderbergh always uses veteran casting director Carmen Cuba as his CD, so expect that to continue for “Let Them All Talk.” Read from her and five other casting greats how auditioning has changed this year here at Backstage!
