“The River”

Casting is underway for “The River,” a short film set in 1940s Germany where a studious young man accompanies his dangerous aunt on a train to a mysterious place after the deaths of his parents. White actors, aged 8–60, are now wanted for several roles, including the starring role of Soloman Ward. Rehearsals will take place in August 2022 in New York City, followed by filming in October in NYC and Connecticut. Pay is $100–$300 per day with travel and meals provided for all.

Game Company Western

A comedy/parody Western for a game company is now seeking talent, aged 18 and older, to play lead bank robbers and background saloon and bank patrons. Filming will take place on Dec. 3 in Temecula, California. Pay is $100–$400 for the day with travel and meals provided.

Sleepy Eye Films is casting a sizzle reel for the anthology series “CCE,” which centers on America’s most notorious drug organizations and the law enforcement agencies that work to tear them down. Talent, aged 18–65, is wanted for a variety of roles. There will be a virtual open casting call on Nov. 22. Filming will take place on Nov. 27 in Brooklyn, NYC. Pay is TBD (undisclosed by the production).

“Here Be Monsters”

Join the cast of “Here Be Monsters,” a short horror film about two college-aged women who attend a haunted house, only to find out it takes a turn for the worse and goes horribly wrong. Two female actors, aged 18 and older, are wanted to voice the lead roles of Becky and Lisa for animated previsualization. Talent will work remotely. Pay is $250 for four hours of work.
