“Alternatino”
If you’re around the East Village this week, expect to see “Alternatino” in production! The Comedy Central variety series stars “Broad City” actor Arturo Castro and is described as “a sketch show based on Arturo’s experiences as a Latino millennial in the United States.” Principal photography for the series began in December, but it has been in development for the past three years with six episodes shot before it was picked up for series. This week, crews are stationed at 11th Street and Third Avenue. Expect to see further casting and filming in the coming months around the city. Elaine del Valle is the series casting director.
