The Owens family is back to cast a new spell! Set 25 years after the 1998 cult classic, “Practical Magic 2” is officially sweeping into theaters this September. Original icons Sandra Bullock, Nicole Kidman, Stockard Channing, and Dianne Wiest return to their roles, joined by a fresh coven including Joey King, Maisie Williams, Lee Pace, and Xolo Maridueña. “Secrets of The Coven”

Join the cast of “Secrets of The Coven,” a feature horror-thriller set against the backdrop of the American bicentennial, where a small Texas town with a troubling history comes to believe that the ghost of a Latina woman wrongly killed on suspicion of witchcraft has returned to seek her vengeance. A Latina actor, age 22–26, is sought to play the lead role of Elsie, a strong but cautious Mexican woman. Talent will work in the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas, area in late Fall 2026. Pay is $6,240 for four weeks of work with travel, housing, and per diem provided.

“Witch’s Showdown” Series: “Glass of Djinn”

 A female actor, age 18–35, is sought to play a glamorous and mysterious witch in “Witch’s Showdown,” an episode of the thriller/fantasy series “Glass of Djinn.” Filming is scheduled for Aug. 22 in Hollywood. Pay is $1,000 with travel, hotel, and food covered.

“Burgundy”

Burgundy,” a feature drama-romance film, is now casting nationwide talent, aged 30–45, for the two lead roles and a supporting role. Filming will take place on Oct. 7–21 in Las Vegas, New York City, and Norway. Pay is $700 per day for up to nine days of work. Air travel and hotel accommodations will be provided for lead talent.

“Age of Fantasy: The Lady, The Wizard, and The Knight” 

 Fair Studios Productions is seeking talent for “Age of Fantasy: The Lady, The Wizard, and The Knight,” a dark fantasy short film as a proof of concept for a larger story universe. Production is casting talent, aged 10–65, for a wide variety of characters, including elves, dwarf warriors, mages, townsfolk, and more. Talent will work around the Greater Los Angeles area with dates TBD. Pay is $150–$300 per day for up to 10 days of work with meals and IMDb credit included.

“Letter to a Forgetting Woodsman”

 A pair of Arizona-based actors—a male actor, age 23–50, and a female actor, age 15–30—is sought for the lead roles in “Letter to a Forgetting Woodsman,” an emotional fantasy short film following a medieval traveler from the 1100s helping a modern-day girl escape an enchanted forest and learning a lesson about connection and grief on the journey. Filming is scheduled for Sept. 26–27 in Show Low. Pay is $250 for two days of work with cabin accommodations provided.

“Miasmacat”

Join the cast of “Miasmacat,” a short indie romance-drama film about a couple who, after moving into a new house and hearing that their friends are having a baby, have their life gently upended by the unexpected responsibility of a stray cat. California-based actors, aged 20–35, are sought for lead and supporting roles. The lead roles must be comfortable working with cats. Filming is scheduled for Sept. 18–27 in Orange and Anaheim. Pay is $200 per day for up to five days of work with transportation and gas and/or shuttle covered.

“Modish elVes”

 Join the cast of “Modish elVes,” a fantasy streaming series set in a hidden world existing alongside our own and told through the eyes of both humans and elves. New England-based actors, aged 4–82, are currently sought for several day player roles, including a waitress, an Olympic swimmer, and more. Talent will work this summer in the Boston area. Pay is $150 per day.

“After the Series”

 Sensation Studios is seeking talent for “After the Series,” a romantic drama based on the “After” book series by Anna Todd, about a college freshman who meets an unlikely roommate, opening her up to a different side of college—and herself. Talent, aged 18–55, is sought for several roles in the project, including the co-lead. Production is also hiring multiple crew roles, including an intimacy coordinator. Filming is scheduled for December in Fort Lauderdale and Miami, Florida. Pay is $300–$500 for the co-lead role; all other acting and crew roles are unpaid, with potential travel expenses and on-set meals provided.
