There’s big news in the television world right now. Last week, headlines circled with the news of Lizzy Caplan and Jesse Eisenberg joining the upcoming limited series “Fleishman is in Trouble.” Plus, Starz finally confirms it will produce a “Party Down” revival.

Starz officially announced it will produce a “Party Down” revival.

The rumors were true and the party is, in fact, back on for this new project. According to Variety, Starz will officially produce a “Party Down” revival with original stars Adam Scott, Jane Lynch, Ken Marino, Martin Starr, Ryan Hansen, and Megan Mullally. (Lizzy Caplan will reportedly not return due to scheduling conflicts.) The six-episode limited series will reunite the Los Angeles catering team on new adventures, though no major details have been announced. We previously reported the news of the possible revival back in March, but creator Rob Thomas and several of the cast members have been public for years about their desire to get back together for some form of revival. Thomas and other original series creators and executive producers John Enbom, Paul Rudd, and Dan Etheridge will return with Enbom serving as showrunner. The original series casting directors were Anya Colloff and Amy McIntyre Britt, but a casting team for the revival has yet to be made public.

Jesse Eisenberg will star in the new limited series “Fleishman is in Trouble”

According to Deadline,  Lizzy Caplan and Jesse Eisenberg have been tapped to star in the upcoming FX on Hulu limited series “Fleishman is in Trouble.” The project adapts Taffy Brodesser-Akner’s bestseller of the same name and centers on “recently separated forty-something Toby Fleishman (Eisenberg) who dives into the brave new world of app-based dating with the kind of success he never had dating in his youth before he got married at the tail-end of medical school.” Caplan will play Libby, Toby’s friend (and the show’s narrator) who reconnects with Toby and rekindles their friendship. Brodesser-Akner is the creator and will write on the limited series. Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris will serve as directors.
